True poltergeist activity is relatively rare. Most cases of poltergeist activity are short-lived, lasting only days or a few weeks. However, once in a space they can and will return at any time. Once the portal is open, it is now a supernatural freeway directly into your home.
Some common signs included:
- Objects Levitating or Thrown
- Newspaper, books, paper thrown
- Knocks on windows and doors
- Footsteps
- Scratching sounds
- Slamming doors, cubboards draws
- Disappearing Objects
- Electrical Interference
- Electrical objects turned off or on (even when not plugged in)
- Swirling vortexes
Poltergeist attacks differ from ghost hauntings significantly. A poltergeist can bite, pinch, and otherwise attack or harass their human victims, as well as move, throw, and even break objects. A ghost will generally just go about its business within the space it once occupied with its physical body, or had some level of connection to the space by memory. This makes a poltergeist attack far more dangerous than a ghost attack.
Poltergeists never had a human existence (no human body), and therefore may not manifest or appear in a ghostly image. Sometimes you will see the ghost moving around with your own eyes.
On a positive note, a poltergeist will not try and take over your own body. Meaning that they will not try and possess you, and try and manipulate your thoughts, your emotions, or your actions. If this is the case for you, then you are most probably under a daemonic possession or daemonic attack.
Since poltergeist activity is sometimes a psychic effect, we will determine who the person is in the home who is generating the telekinetic activity. In many cases, there is an individual in the home who is “the conductor” of this kinetic energy.
