Working With Zepar

Zepar is not an easy demon to work with for the inexperienced. He has been known to cause some issues for the occultist.

Zepar is another one of these very specific demons. Zepar is humble, cloaked in red and wearing soldier’s armor. He’s not just a fighter though, he’s also a lover, as his main thing is making women fall in love with men.

That’s not a totally unusual talent amongst the 72 demons of the Goetia, but Zepar takes things a step further. Not only will he make a woman fall in love with a man, but can transform them into other shapes till they have been enjoyed by their lovers.he also makes them barren,

On the negative side, he can also make a woman barren. Plus cause long term issues for men who may wish to have committed relationships in the future.

Duke Zepar

By Dramsmelle

He is primarily summoned by male followers to make women fall in love with them. The cost of this love is that the woman who falls in love in this way will not be able to conceive the man’s children.

It is said that he is capable of seducing women by taking the human form of their husbands and lovers – therefore he is able to shape shift

Zepar’s rank is Grand Duke. He is said to govern twenty-six legions of “inferior spirits.” His office is to cause women to love men, and bring them together in love. He makes women barren. He is depicted with red clothes and armor, like a soldier.

Not much is known about the Duke Zepar. He is primarily summoned by male followers to make women fall in love with them. The cost of this love is that the woman who falls in love in this way will not be able to conceive the man’s children. To some this may not seem like a very big deal, but centuries ago men considered having children to carry on a their family name to be of great importance – especially to men in powerful positions or with long family legacies. He can also cause people to shapeshift into other forms, usually at the request of the summoner, but not necessarily in a form that is requested. Zepar always appears in red knight’s armor .

Zepar is the sixteenth spirit of Solomon and also one of the fallen angels. He is also said to make women attractive to men. His long neck and head, covered in bright red armor, is strangely mindful of a phallus, while the elongated slit, the only clear definition of an orifice in what should be the face, reminds us of a woman’s vulva And if these suggestions are not enough, examine Zepar’s sigil. It is clearly the image of male testicles. This demon has sex written all over him. Johann Wier said of this spirit: “Zepar is a great duke, appearing as a soldier, inflaming women with the love of men, and when he is bidden he changeth their shape, until they may enjoy their beloved.” Male’s might think Zepar doesn’t sound like too bad a fellow, but they must understand just what this demon is all about. He has no love for humans, and this maybe true. Yet he does enjoy working with people if one does so respectfully.

Another witness of this ancient spirit, the game site Seagate Adventurers’ Guild Beastiary, describes him as a slight warrior with a clubfoot, dressed all in red armor. “He is of a dark mien and speaks in a grating voice filled with contempt for all who inhabit his plane.”

Zepar is a magician, skilled in the art of illusion. He is talented in alchemy, is a military scientist, spy, troubadour, merchant and an assassin. “He is able to cause women to fall in love with men and so allow themselves to be seduced. His touch, however, makes women barren.” Seagate also notes that Zepar “may carry a variety of weapons, but all will be smeared with foul venom which inflicts horrible scarring injuries that may only be cured by magic.” During the evocation, I sensed a strange relation to Gamori, the demon of perverted love, or prostitution.

As I researched Zepar’s history, I discovered Zepar’s apparent link to Zephyrus. Apparently Zephrus “ZEPHYROS (or Zephyrus) was the god of the west wind, one of the four directional Anemoi (Wind-Gods). He was also the god of spring, husband of Khloris (Greenery), and father of Karpos (Fruit).” And Zepar “Being a “Wind-God” Zepar has power over the element of air, which is in the soul.
